We had plans to snowmobile and go sledding, and the location was absolutely perfect because we walked literally across the street to the lake to meet the company for our snowmobile rentals...and the sledding too was across the street at the golf course. "We had a great stay at Matthew's place. It was cozy and nicely decorated, including some holiday items which made it feel very homey for our stay over New Years. The place itself is in a great location, walking distance to the lake and a quick drive to everything else in Cascade. We were able to get to trails and restaurants easily by foot, even in the winter. The hosts were communicative and available for anything we needed.
