Summary: I, arrived at 5:34pm only to be informed after I checked in that my room was being cleaned and it was “almost “done. About 20 minutes later, front desk informed me the room was ready and the cleaning staff was shorthand. I walked into my room and a cleaning lady was already in my room, she quickly positioned herself in front of me preventing me any further. From the appearance of the room -it lacked plenty of attention (as the bed was not close to being made). So, I took all my things back down to the lobby and waited till 6:45 pm to finally move into my room. While waiting in the lobby two of the cleaning staff were walking in and out of the building and by the language they were using with one another, it was some type of work drama (cussing). Customers were waiting for someone at the front desk as she was never seen. I spoke with hotels.com agent and informed what was currently taking place . The agent attempted several times to make contact via phone but yet still no answer. The bed was not fully complete as if they put the sheets and top cover in a hurry. I understand the cause of being shorthanded but all I saw was poor management and poor work ethic from the staff. I will no longer stay or recommend this place

Summary: The area is great and the check in was good unfortunately the cleanliness of our room was lacking and the smell from the dirty carpets. You can’t walk barefoot or you will have sticky nasty dirt on your feet. Also the hallways as soon as you come from the lobby towards the rooms the smell is terrible. I have stayed here in the past and it use to be one of my favorite; don’t know what happened change of management but the cleaning is not what it use to be. This is turning out to be another run down La Quinta.
