Good Folk House requires a 5 nite minimum mid-June to mid-August and a 3 nite minimum in spring, fall and winter seasons.
Tucked in the woods on a quiet road across from Lake Michigan, just south of downtown Jacksonport, you will find Good Folk House. With only a quick 5-minute drive (or one mile walk/bike ride) to a sandy public beach on the Lake, you don’t have to go far to explore the beauty of the Lake Michigan shoreline and enjoy sunning, swimming, kayaks and paddle boards.
This homey bungalow is great for families or a couple’s getaway! Good Folk House is a mix of modern and vintage. Just recently renovated and updated, this 1600 sf home is cozy and comfortable without losing the cabin-esque charm everyone loves. Good Folk House sleeps a maximum of 8 including 2 bedrooms and pull out couch in living area.
This relaxed cottage allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of other Door County destinations while remaining close to some of the best parks and beaches. Some of the local favorites within a 3-mile radius include Cave Point and Whitefish Dunes, which you can’t miss. Cave Point is one of the most beautiful parks around, and Whitefish dunes boast hundreds of feet of sandy beach and miles of trails for hiking and cross-country skiing.
With only 1 mile to access miles of sand beach via Lakeside Park, you’re close to all of the amenities Jacksonport offers. Grab goodies from the local bakery, eat and drink at two great restaurants, have a latte at Lil’ Bit of Coffee, rent kayaks or bicycles from either of the local tour companies and grab some meats and groceries from “not-to-miss” Bley’s general store. Jacksonport is the jewel of the Quiet Side having preserved the treasured charm and small town feel we and our guests love.
BEDROOMS
Bedroom #1 includes a queen bed, dresser, closet, full-length mirror, USB charging ports, and custom-designed accent wall. Located toward the front of the house, open the windows and enjoy the sound of waves crashing in the distance as you drift off to sleep.
Bedroom #2 includes a queen bed with a full bed bunk over the top. Located on the backside of the house, this room has a full-length mirror, plenty of storage, and wonderful peace and quiet.
Living room offers queen size pull out couch for additional sleeping.
OUTDOOR LIVING SPACE
Have your morning cup of coffee on an amazing front porch while enjoying the sound of waves crashing against the bluff in the distance. Take a walk into the beautifully landscaped backyard with paths leading to a fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Grill out on the back deck and don’t forget to glance up at the night skies; we promise they are show-stoppers. A perk of being on the “Quiet Side” of Door County.
