A great place to use as base for exploring Austin, the neighborhood is quiet yet within sight of downtown and entertainment within walking distance. For modern convenience the house has a full washer/dryer, G-fiber internet (500 mbps) and there is a Level 2 EV charging station down the block!
The space
Large, mid century modern updated home in one of the only Austin neighborhoods that is both charming and quite and yet walking distance to much of Austin's entertainment. Enjoy a peaceful retreat that's within walking distance to bars, dining, and even downtown. With beautiful solid wood floors, granite countertops, two living areas, and two bathrooms, the house has extra space perfect for large groups and very close to the convention center and downtown.
With 4 bedrooms and 7 beds, this home provides ample space for your group's comfort and convenience.

The kitchen is fully stocked, containing just about every appliance you could want (breadmaker anyone?), glassware and flatware for large parties, and plenty of utensils. Coffee maker and coffee provided!
There are multiple areas to eat and relax. The main living room is retro stylish with a dining area, a big comfy couch, a 3 seat bar, and a record player loaded with a bunch of vinyl records. The second living room has a huge 50" TV with Netflix and HBO. We even have an original Nintendo you can hook up to play old school video games.
The upstairs bathroom (the blue room) is a jack-and-jill with a tub and large vanity counter. The downstairs bath (the purple place) is where you'll find a retro walk-in shower.
There's also a washer and dryer in the garage for you to use if needed.
Just three blocks away, discover a charming row of neighborhood bars, including Full Circle bar (known for ski-ball), the cozy Kind Bee cocktail bar that hosts bands and comedy shows, and a well kept secret dance club called Outer Heaven.
A brief 5-10 minute walk will lead you to the Rosewood entertainment district, home to highly-rated restaurants, bars, and the iconic Franklin's BBQ. Venture a bit further with a 15-20 minute walk, or a quick 4-minute cab ride, to East 6th street and beyond, where you'll find yourself within reach of downtown, Rainey Street, and beyond.
