You are a stones throw away from the sprawling Jacksonport Park and public beach, within walking distance to two restaurants/bars, a grocery store and kayak/bike rental.
Jacksonport is the perfect home base for all your adventures in Door County! Door County Brewery is just a 10 minute drive away and offers some of the best brews along with live music in the summer. Bailey's Harbor has some wonderful shopping, amazing hiking like, The Ridges Sanctuary and Toft Point and for all those coffee lovers Bearded Heart Coffee is must stop. Drive a little further is Iconic Cana Island. Cana Island is s must do for those who love Maritime history and stunning panoramic views.
Sturgeon Bay and the greater Door County, offer many Artist Collectives (The Pearl, Lightbox, ReClaimed & Co). You can check out a play at Sturgeon Bay's newly renovated theater (Third Avenue Playhouse | T.A.P) or go enjoy a show at the one-of-a-kind Peninsula Players Theater or under the stars at Northern Sky Theater. Door County is full of wonderful places to shop, galleries to peruse, wineries to stop and sip and top notch restaurants that start in Sturgeon Bay (CRATE) and go all the way to the tip of the county.
Sturgeon Bay offers multiple sand beaches (Otumba and Sunset park), Potawatomi State Park or any of the Door County Land Trust properties are a perfect way to take in the beauty of Door County. We have two YMCA locations (Sturgeon Bay and Fish Creek) for those looking to get their workout in, use the indoor lap pool or children's indoor playroom/pool for those unfortunate rainy days.
You can book a wine trolley tour in Egg Harbor (Door County Trolley) or pick up a gallery map and enjoy all the wonderful galleries that dot Door County's peninsula. Looking to take in a show, check out Door County Auditorium, Peninsula Players Theater, Northern Sky Theater, or enjoy a movie at the Skyway Drive-in Cinema.
You'll have complete access to this home during your escape to Door County.
Built in 1882, Jacksonport Lake House has all the feels of a classic Door County beachfront home but with modern updates in the bathroom and kitchen, second floor laundry, and an added half bath on the lower level for convenience.
A weekly farmer’s market every Tuesday from mid-May through October takes place at the park right next door to Jacksonport Lake House.

Therefore, we can not guarantee the state of the beach during any one reservation.
While we take all the precautions one can for little pesky insects/bugs, such as seasonal professional pest control services, cleaning with commercial disinfectants and weekly trash services. You are also booking a home on the water, nestled in between beautiful pines in northern Wisconsin. We can not control nor does it reflect on the cleanliness of the home if there are fruit flies, gnats, May flies, horse flies, mosquitoes, bats, mice etc; even when we do our best sometimes those little pests show up unexpected and unwelcome. Please note, we will do all we can to address any of those things if they happen to arise during your stay in a timely manner!
