Private sandy beach on the largest of the Great Lakes - Lake Superior. Beautiful fresh clean water to kayak, canoe or fish! Wake up to beautiful sunrises... with your favorite beverage and birds singing. Behind the cottage is a natural wildlife preserve where you will see Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles, and Sand Hill Cranes gathering their daily food! Perfect for the avid bird watcher. A quiet and extremely clean place to relax and only 10 minutes from Lake Linden, 30 minutes from Copper Harbor (Fort Wilkins), Houghton, and Calumet 25(mining town history and almost the capitol of Michigan in the 1800's). Enjoy the hiking and biking along the Keweenaw Peninsula or take a couple of days and go to Isle Royale National Park. The boats leave from Houghton and Copper Harbor (only 35 minutes away from your cottage).
Winter skiing (Mount Bohemia, largest vertical drop in the USA), LacLaBelle, and Mount Ripley in Houghton. Great cross country skiing at Swedetown trails and Copper Harbor, also. Snowmobile the Keweenaw! Payment will be returned if cancellation is given 60 days prior to reserved date, or if property gets rented in the interum. Please call or email me before booking with any questions. I require $350 to hold the reservation. I also require a $1200 security deposit.
