When angels want a vacation, they go to Angel House (VRBO #696199). But when angels seek utter restoration, they come to Angels’ Retreat, a perfect, private, second story Taos studio apartment built in 2017 in "Tiny House" style.
Angels’ Retreat is on a quiet, paved road, with easy access midway between the Town of Taos and the Taos Ski Valley, about a 10-15 minute drive to either one. Despite its compact size, Angels’ Retreat is cleverly designed to provide a cozy, comfortable stay for months, or just a long weekend.
The Retreat charms with colorful Mexican tile and lush saltillo throughout, and thermostat-controlled, cast iron gas fireplace dancing with flames when the heat is on. The kitchen has everything you’ll need: full size refrigerator, compact 4-burner gas oven, microwave, coffeemaker, and all of the essentials. Lie in bed and watch the moon or sun rise over Taos Mountain; west-facing windows frame the sunset over western vistas.
The Retreat has WiFi for guests who just can’t bear to disconnect entirely. Other than that, electronic intrusion is largely absent – there’s no TV, and no land line phone. There is a radio with an aux jack.
The Retreat is limited to a maximum of two guests, and at least one guest in the Retreat must be an adult over 25. The Retreat cannot accommodate young children under the age of 12.

Other things to note:
Guests will have the studio guesthouse to themselves, including the patio and private outdoor seating area. There are several locked areas, including the garage, that are the owners' private space, and guests are not permitted to try to open these. We ask guests to park on the lower level, near the garage, leaving the upper part of the driveway (near the main house) clear for any potential main house guests. Please do not enter the main house outdoor spaces behind the tall privacy fence.
A separate rental, called Angel House (VRBO #696199), is on the same 5-acre property. The two rentals remain private from each other: they are in different buildings that are further apart than houses in most suburban subdivisions, with a split driveway and separate parking. A tall privacy fence separates the two spaces, and each has private outdoor seating areas. The windows have been carefully positioned to take advantage of the trees and slope of the land so that the two spaces remain visually private. It is possible to rent both Angel House and Angels’ Retreat together, as schedules permit.
