Our mini-farm is a special place, a lovingly hand-built enclave of homes, agricultural space, fields and flowers. We’re now sharing our piece de resistance, a fine and unusual log cabin that enjoys a private location among the oaks.
Rather than logs laid atop one another, the builder used short lengths of logs stacked like firewood and chinked with concrete. It’s beautiful inside and out. Spacious porches are featured front and back.
When you drive through the gate, you’ll discover a magical place, a compound of family and friends who share a love of small-yield farming and the peace and quiet of the country life.
For a peaceful evening, build a fire in your fire pit (we provide the wood) and enjoy the stars.
Small social functions are fine but we must be notified in advance. An additional fee may be charged.
Want more? We’re just seven miles from downtown San Marcos with its college-fired entertainment options. That includes great trekking and tubing opportunities.
We’re also just a hop, skip and a jump from New Braunfels and historic, charming Gruene.
Those seeking the big city lights can be in Austin in 30 minutes or San Antonio in 45.
We’re found in farm country, but there’s still lots to do.
We’re just one mile from the Flying Armadillo Disc Golf Course.
We love the Five Mile Dam, a fabulous spot for river swimming, fishing and picnicking.
The Lime Kiln Trailhead is 6.5 miles away; it leads to the beautiful 250-acre Spring Lake Natural Area.
Or jump into the San Marcos River with an inner tube or kayak!
Or check out the opportunities for dining and drinking. San Marcos is home to fine restaurants and a half dozen craft breweries.
