Positive: This is the top floor of a large house in North Vancouver and hence it is spacious and it is well located. The property was clearly designed and fitted out to a very high standard when it was new. It is a quiet and peaceful location and the kitchen is very well equipped. Hence it suited us and we had a very pleasant stay.

Negative: However there are some considerations. Being the top floor of an older house, in a hot Vancouver summer it is hot. There are plenty of fans, but the remotes for some of these did not work. As said this was clearly fitted out to a very high standard at the time, but that was many years ago and it does look rather dated - this is not a functional problem, but it was not what we were expecting. The owner sent lots of instructions before arrival which were useful, answered questions via e mail but we never met her. If it was the woman who lived in the lower half of the building she never made any effort to speak to us or introduce herself. Again this is not a problem but not what we were expecting. Overall this is fine place to stay, but given the very high rating (and high price) it was not quite as expected.
