Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The house accommodated our family of 5 adults well. It was close to the freeway and in an older but quiet neighborhood. The corner lot is nice with a large shade tree out front. We didn’t use the outside deck or hot tub but it was nice and clean and the fenced back yard offered good privacy. The host provided some basic breakfast items which after a long day of travel was very nice and appreciated. The house was pretty clean overall. Our family enjoyed watching the large TV together. The 3rd 1/4 bath was also appreciated with 5 adults staying there. Each bedroom was spacious and two of the four beds were comfortable.

Negative: Our only “bummers” about the house are that the beds in the master suite and in the back right bedroom are VERY hard. (If you like very hard mattresses then this isn’t a downside for you. For us, it was) Our suggestion is that the master bedroom foam mattress needs a box spring and the other bedrooms spring mattress needs a topper. Our backs were pretty sore from sleeping on the mattresses. The master bedroom suite is a pretty well done garage conversion. Our only critique is that there is no HVAC in that room and the room got really stuffy at night. Our suggestion is either to get HVAC to that room or to install a ceiling fan. The only other thing we wished was better was that the bath mats looked like they had not been laundered in a long time. Very dirty. Our suggestion is to either not have them at all or to make sure housekeeping launders them each time. We also wished we had more towels available. We kept having to wash towels.

Summary: Nice clean home close to the freeway in a quiet Arlington neighborhood.
