Paddle across the big lake to Copper Dock, for a nice dinner. Enjoy the extraordinary fall colors in the area. Hike to the top of the Holy Hill Basilica. Take in a local art fair. Or just sit on the dock over the water soaking in the unique landscape, in the midst of Wisconsin's famous Kettle and Moraine topography. In the winter, Friess Lake is a well-loved ice fishing destination known for 40 inch pike. There is no place like it so close to the city, yet so private and peaceful.
